About UIC
Hello everyone! My name is Nor Syifa Barirah, i’m from Lambung Mangkurat University and now i’m a third year student in Preschool Education. In this SEA-TEACHER program i was placed in the University of the Immaculate Conception (UIC), Philippines. UIC has 3 campuses with different places. The first campus or main campus is located in Fr. Selga St, near from bankerohan market. The second campus is located in Bajada, this is where we practice the teaching because in this Bajada is a private school from UIC there are schools from Kindergarten to Senior High School. And the third campus is located in Bonifacio. The University of the Immaculate Conception (UIC) traces its roots to the Beaterio dela Compaňia, the first community of indigenous women formed during Hispanic colonial times. Ignacia del Espiritu Santo, a mestiza from Binondo who decided to serve the Divine Majesty by the sweat of her brow started the Beaterio dela Compañia in 1684.
