The second week in Davao

Monday, January 29 2018
Today i woke up early because today was the first day i started teaching so i had to make preparations. After attending school i attended the ceremony and after that i started teaching. Because of the first day i feel nervous. But everything went smoothly although there is little correction. Ms. Valderrama suggest me to use the video to be more easily in teaching. And on the evening i am looking for video and download and make the power point for teaching tomorrow.


Tuesday, January 30 2018
Today i teach again, i use video and power point. Morning class runs smoothly even though there is little comment from ms. Valderrama, she said that i also used the pictures as a learning medium. After the morning class is over i go to the canteen for lunch and then return to class for afternoon class. After coming home from school in the evening i prepare the learning media to return to teach the next day.






Wednesday, January 31 2018 
Today i teach again, the media that i use is video, power point and some pictures. Ms. Valderrama suggested that i use a bigger picture. I just teach morning class today because afternoon class do not have class today, all kindergarten teachers held a meeting. So, after finish teaching morning class i have no class anymore.



Thursday, February 1 2018
Today i teach again, and the media i use today are just the pictures. After finishing teaching morning class i go to canteen for lunch and had to go back to teach afternoon class, but because yesterday afternoon class did not have class so the day i taught yesterday’s topic to them.


Friday, February 2 2018 
Because Friday is a freeday for kindergarten so do not go to school and just live in the dorm full day.

Saturday, February 3 2018 
Today is my friend’s birthday Normiati and she does not know if ma’am pregua and ma’am solomon is planning to give it a surprise. So during that morning we just stayed in the dorm at 3 o’clock we took her away with the excuse of going out with lorna then we all gathered in the lobby and not long after that came Ma’am Pregua, Ma’am Solomon and Sir Rene. They give  surprise to the Normi, they bring a birthday cake to the Normi that reads “Happy Birthday Normiati from UIC”. We all gathered in the kitchen and sang happy birthday song to Normi. After that we all went to a restaurant named “Ahfat” it turns out there are people who gathered waiting for us. There were about 10 more people, we had dinner together happily. 




Sunday, Febuary 4 2018 
Today we went to Abreeza with sister Erlin we bought some stuff there. The time for lunch we waited for sister ancila to lunch together after she come we eat together after that we are invited elsewhere where the goods are cheaper but i don’t buy anything there. In the afternoon we were twken home by sister Erlin but before going home we bought some bread and also fruits. Today we are very happy.

The first week in Davao

Saturday, January 20 2018 I leave from Banjarmasin at 8 p.m to Jakarta, and i leave from jakarta to manila at 1 a.m. Sunday, January 21 2018 I leave from Jakarta at 1 a.m and arrived in Manila around 5 a.m. and from Manila i have to go to davao again around 7 a.m. i arrived in davao around at 11 a.m. at the airport we picked up by ma’am Solomon, sister Erlin, and some students from UIC, that is jasmin, jude and jason. On the way to the dorm we are invited to see the school where we teach later that take place in bajada. After that we are invited lunch at a restaurant and then went on a trip to the dorm we are located in the main campus. The Third week in Davao

Monday, February 5 2018 Today i went back to Bajada, i helped ms. Valderrama to take care of the children because she was busy to prepare pajama party. Until the afternoon class done i returned to the dorm with my friends. Tuesday, February 6 2018 Today i again became an assistant and helped keep the kids until the afternoon class ended. Wednesday, February 7 2018 Today the children are only given the task of completing their writing book because the teachers are busy preparing the pajama party and i keep them in the classroom. Thursday, February 8 2018  Today i keep children morning class, this afternoon will be held pajama party for children morning class. So, afternoon class closed. Pajama party started in 3 o’clock until 7.30 p.m. after morning class i went to the canteen for lunch and rest in the faculty room. Around 3 p.m i went to kinder to join in the pajama party with children and teachers. But i can only join until 5 p.m because of having to go back to dorm
