The first week in Davao


Saturday, January 20 2018
I leave from Banjarmasin at 8 p.m to Jakarta, and i leave from jakarta to manila at 1 a.m.

Sunday, January 21 2018
I leave from Jakarta at 1 a.m and arrived in Manila around 5 a.m. and from Manila i have to go to davao again around 7 a.m. i arrived in davao around at 11 a.m. at the airport we picked up by ma’am Solomon, sister Erlin, and some students from UIC, that is jasmin, jude and jason. On the way to the dorm we are invited to see the school where we teach later that take place in bajada. After that we are invited lunch at a restaurant and then went on a trip to the dorm we are located in the main campus. After arriving in dorm we invited to get around and see our room was located in second floor. We are welcome to rest a moment while waiting our friends who hasn’t arrived. After our friends arrived at the dorm we all went to the market that near from UIC with sister Erlin and some students from UIC also stay in the dorm, they are lorna, mylene and julie. We bought some vegetables, fish, rice and spices other kitchen. After that we cooking and dinner together. After our meal, we are clean our room and smoothed our things. Then we slept for tomorrow have to get up early.

Monday, January 22 2018
At the 6 a.m we already getting ready to go to school located in Bajada. This morning we went to school with lorna. We only eat some bread and drink energen after that we went to school using tricycle. This my first experiences using tricycle. After that we use jeepney to arrive at bajada. It turns out from the main campus to bajada quite far.
After arriving at Bajada we meet our coordinator Dr. Jo-Ann Y. Solomon and Ma’am Helene Ugay Pregua. Normi and i invited to auditorium grade school to follow the ceremony and after that we introduce ourselves. After that we are invited to gymnasium junior high school to introduce ourselves. And after that i went to the buildings kindergarten located in addition to the gymnasium. There i acquainted with the cooperating teacher place i teach later that ms. Venus Y. Valderrama and some other teachers. And then i went into class and introduce myself, i placed on st. Michael. I made observations in the class and i saw how the teacher taught. It turns out for kindergarten has two session it is morning session and afternoon session. Morning session starts from 7.30 a.m until 10.30 am and afternoon session starts from 12.30 p.m until 3.30 pm. After class we all get together in the lobby and wait lorna to return to the dorm.











Tuesday, January 23 2018
Today children go to Bonifacio (the third campus of UIC) for injection so for today’s no class.

Wednesday, January 24 2018
Today i back for class and observation and i was given topic to teach later and for my learning plan. I did observation to afternoon class finished. And in the evening i started making learning plan.

Thursday, January 25 2018
Today is the teachers day so no class, ranging from kindergarten to grade school gathered auditorium to celebrate teachers day.

Friday, January 26 2018
Today we went to Bonifacio because there will be a meeting of the morning until the afternoon and the evening i still have to make learning plan.

Saturday, Januari 27 2018
Today i just sleep and make learning plan in dorm.

Sunday, January 28 2018
Today we in invite sister erlin and another sisters in bonifacio, after arrived there we cooking and eat together after that we are go to SM Lanang and Abreeza. And in the evening i made a teaching medium to teach tomorrow.

The Third week in Davao

Monday, February 5 2018 Today i went back to Bajada, i helped ms. Valderrama to take care of the children because she was busy to prepare pajama party. Until the afternoon class done i returned to the dorm with my friends. Tuesday, February 6 2018 Today i again became an assistant and helped keep the kids until the afternoon class ended. Wednesday, February 7 2018 Today the children are only given the task of completing their writing book because the teachers are busy preparing the pajama party and i keep them in the classroom. Thursday, February 8 2018  Today i keep children morning class, this afternoon will be held pajama party for children morning class. So, afternoon class closed. Pajama party started in 3 o’clock until 7.30 p.m. after morning class i went to the canteen for lunch and rest in the faculty room. Around 3 p.m i went to kinder to join in the pajama party with children and teachers. But i can only join until 5 p.m because of having to go back to dorm
